Dachshund
Developed in Germany in the 1600s, dachshunds also called as the wiener dog were bred to hunt out badgers from their underground dens. The dogs' short, long and sturdy bodies and confident demeanor make them perfect badger hunters. Today, their small size and minimal exercise requirements make them great household companions for active “fur”-ents. The breed comes in standard and miniature sizes, and can have long, short or wiry fur.
